What's in a name?

CherryLux is a blend of 2 words:

• Cherry = our founder's name.
• Lux = Latin for 'light'.

Why 'Lux'?

Lux doesn’t just mean light, it’s a unit of brightness; reflecting how our premium crystal components shine and radiate light on the dance floor.

Our story

CherryLux began with our founder's own search. Cherry danced as a child for many years, mainly in ballet and tap, but returned to dancing in her twenties; this time to the beautiful world of ballroom. For ballroom dance competitions, Cherry couldn’t find the earrings she wanted; designs that were high quality, creative, and made to withstand the movement and sparkle of the dance floor.

Cherry felt that jewellery which matched the quality and sophistication of the sport, at an accessible price point, was missing from the industry. So, she created the brand she wanted but couldn’t find. A brand that focused on quality, elegance, refined design and accessibility. A brand which created earrings intentionally, focused on the details that really elevate a dancer’s image.
